Leka Roof Systems

Leka is an advanced roofing system that has been designed to seamlessly replace existing conservatory and extension roofs, as well as being fitted alongside any new installations you may be planning. Unmatched by any other roofing system on the market, Leka Systems are a thermally efficient tiled system, which are quick to install and an aesthetically pleasing addition to your home.

With your Leka installation you can also choose to have large, rectangular glazed panels installed in your conservatory roof, which will help open up the room, and let large amounts of natural light in. This helps to add both luxury and comfort to an already sophisticated living space. You also won’t be compromising on the thermal effectiveness of your new roof by installing these glass panels, as they come with a range of benefits, including heat retention.

Gable Conservatory

A simple and attractive addition to any home, a solid roof gable conservatory has many benefits, including being an attractive and simple to install addition to your home, with the ability to let in lots of natural light from its glazed gable-end. This simple design is the perfect base for an Leka roof, which will massively increase the thermal efficiency of a gable conservatory, without adding any bulk to the exterior shape of the conservatory, or any ugly support struts on the interior. The slanted roof of this conservatory style is the perfect canvas on which to display the attractive roofing tiles used in an Leka installation, which come in red, grey or brown. It is also the perfect conservatory for glazed areas on the roof, to give you the perfect snapshot of the skies above, whether it’s to do some cloud spotting or to gaze at stars, all from within the comfort of your home. These glazed sections can be places wherever suits your conservatory best, or where gives you the best views.

Lean-To Conservatory

A lean-to conservatory is the perfect solution for many homes, and particularly those that are limited on garden space in which to fit a home extension. Simple, yet stunning, these home adaptations can be made even more attractive with the addition of an Leka, which will help make this space a welcoming and cosy environment for all to enjoy. This type of conservatory is perfect for displaying the overall effect of these fantastic roofing tiles, which come in a selection of colours and which have an authentic texture, featuring natural looking grains and marks. If you wish to modernise your lean-to conservatory further by adding a glazed section to your new roof, then you need not fear that this will make your roof any less thermally effective. Our selection of glazes mean you can choose styles that help to retain heat, ones which are solar reflective and options that are self-cleaning. These come in a variety of tinted glazes, for you to modify as best suits your home.

Edwardian Conservatory

An Edwardian conservatory is a beautiful addition to any home but some versions can look slightly outdated, especially as the majority of these conservatory types were built in the 90’s and early 2000’s, meaning their features are not as modern as others now available. The reason why many Edwardian conservatories can look outdated is because they quite often have polycarbonate roofs, but the problem of them looking outdated can be easily resolved by replacing your roof with an Leka. To replace your roof the process is quite simple; we will remove your existing roof before checking the structural integrity of your conservatory windows and doors to make sure they’re sound. The Leka is then fitted using either traditional or modern ridge caps to help join where separate facets meet, so that your final conservatory installation is perfectly suited to your tastes. Finally, you are left with a modernised conservatory that lets plenty of light in whilst being incredibly thermally efficient.

Victorian Conservatory

Victorian conservatories are certainly an attractive style of conservatory, with their 3 to 5-bay fronts, which allow lots of space for separate windows to let as much light in to your property as possible. However, these multi-faceted bays may seem problematic to homeowners when it comes to roofing projects. Fortunately, the Leka product easily caters for the Victorian conservatory style, as it is made in the factory to the exact specifications needed. These separate bay sections are then joined together by the use of ridge caps, which come in either a traditional, or more contemporary, aluminium style. If you’re concerned that the move to a solid roof on your conservatory may mean that you lose out on some of the valuable light a glass or polycarbonate roof gave then you can also have large rectangular glass panels fitted into your new Leka.

Beat the problem of a conservatory with bad temperature control with Leka.

There are many reasons why homeowners choose to replace their existing conservatory roof with a solid roof option, such as an Leka. However, the main reason is generally because many homeowners soon discover that the polycarbonate or glass roof that they currently have is not as thermally efficient as they would like, meaning their conservatories are quite often too hot or too cold to relax in throughout the year. It’s quite common to find conservatories with roofs that are ineffective at retaining heat or preventing solar glare, and the best way to ensure your conservatory is at the optimum temperature year round is to invest in an Leka.

This type of roofing product is capable of achieving an enviable heat loss value of just 0.12 W/m²K, meaning it is one of the most thermally efficient roofing systems available on the market today. It’s also incredibly lightweight, meaning the installation process is quick and hassle-free. What’s more, is that the product can be modified to best suit you and your home, meaning you can choose from an array of tiling colours, and choose to have glazed panels installed into the roof, if you wish.

Advanced and effective; the best replacement roof available today.

If you’re looking for a replacement roof for your existing conservatory or extension then Leka is the roofing product that’s right for you. The older and outdated conservatory roofs made from such materials as polycarbonate and glass are simply not effective at retaining heat within your property, which is why investing in a solid roof for your conservatory is a sensible way to curb energy costs and ensure your conservatory is comfortable year round. When undertaking a typical roof replacement we remove the original roof before checking the structural integrity of the remaining windows and doors. If we find these don’t measure up to our standards we will also replace the windows and doors, which means you can choose to change the style of those you already have, or upgrade them. If you don’t yet have a conservatory then we will be more than happy to undertake the build of  a new one for you.

Replacement Roof

If you’re the proud owner of a conservatory then any revamping costs can seem a little daunting. However, much of the time the only repairs that need to be done are to the roof, and replacing the roof only is a sure way to keep costs down. If you do choose to replace your conservatory roof then doing so with an Leka means you can massively the increase the thermal effectiveness of your conservatory or extension in the space of a few short days. To do so we will remove the existing roof, check that the remaining windows and doors are still in a suitable condition and then install your new roof. To do so is surprisingly quick, with a watertight covering achievable within just 2-3 hours.

Frames & Roof

The capabilities of windows and doors have improved massively within the last 5-10 years, meaning that many conservatories that were built within this time may now be outdated, and not as secure or as thermally efficient as they should be in comparison to modern fittings. When replacing your conservatory with an Leka it may also be a good time to consider replacing your existing windows and doors with alternatives that massively increase the security and levels of comfort you experience in your home. If you wish to, you can choose ones which are of a different style to your existing ones, such as tilt & turn windows or bi-fold doors. These new additions to your conservatory can be easily added to the existing base and brickwork, meaning you avoid extra expense.

New Build

Though we have talked at length about Leka as the ideal replacement for your existing conservatory or extension roof, it is just as suitable for new build solid roof home extensions and conservatories. If you’re looking to increase the amount of floorspace available in your home, rather than moving to a different property entirely, then ensuring you have a home extension with an Leka is a sensible way to do so. Fitting your new build with an Leka is an incredibly simple process and will most likely be the fastest pat of your entire build project. All Leka products are made in the factory and pre-assembled to cut down on waste and any excess material that may slow down the installation. Because of this our team can create a watertight conservatory within a day, meaning your interior redecorating can begin much sooner than you may have anticipated.

Roof slates in colours to suit every property and personal taste…

The Leka roofing system uses low maintenance and durable polymer slates, that look remarkably like their traditional counterparts, with special attention paid to give them textures and looks similar to that of typical roof slates. These slates can be fitted 12 at a time, which makes the installation process incredibly fast, and with a range of colours to choose from, including grey, brown and red, there really is no downside to Leka. Once the tiles have been fitted, each roof section is then joined together by using ridge caps in a choice of styles. You can choose a more traditional ‘armadillo’ ridge cap similar in look to your roof tiles, or an aluminium option to give off a contemporary look.

Most homeowners choose a slate colour closest to the other roofs on their property, but you can also choose to match your tile colours to the tint used on any glazed panels you have installed in your new roof. These colours include shades of blue, aqua and bronze, with varying benefits such as heat retention and solar reflection.

There’s no need to worry about building regulations with us…

Leka is a widely recommended and highly approved roofing product, being both an LABC (Local Authority Building Control) and LABSS (Local Authority Building Standards Scotland) approved system. This means that any building applications put forward using this product are much more likely to find quick approval than some alternatives, which means you’re closer to achieving the conservatory of your dreams when using Leka. Our team of design consultants will take you through every step of your build project, and this also includes helping you with the various steps of gaining building regulations approval. Gaining Building Regulations approval can seem harder than it actually is, which is why our team at Mid Wales are here to help. We will do most, if not all, of the work for you to make sure your new build or remodel goes smoothly, complying with legislation now and in the years to come.
